A little bit of history .....

The Society was founded in Tarporley in 1920 and more of the history is given in The Scrapbook.
A complete list of productions dating back to 1960 show that at least one production has been staged in every year since 1960 apart from 1963 when the Victory Hall was demolished and the Community Centre built.

We are still based at the Community Centre and have over 30 active members including actors, actresses and the technical team.
Two productions are normally staged each year, the first in March and the second in November and so the Society is constantly searching for fresh acting talent and help.

If acting is not your forte, technical roles include the lighting and sound engineers and help with "props", front of house, refreshment & bar sales are much appreciated. The set build is great fun and is usually completed two weeks before the first performance, in time for Sunday dress rehearsal.

If you would like to take part in any capacity, please talk to one of the Society's officers on our contact page.

New members are always welcome ............ please contact us for more details.

Treasure Hunt - - 17th June 2013

This year's treasure hunt finished at the Bhurtpore Inn in Aston village, between Nantwich and Whitchurch. The unusual name is taken from an Indian fort and further information is available on the pub's website.
36 people took part in 10 cars and then enjoyed good food and drinks which included a large selection of real ales. Oscar was presented to the winning team, the Scotts and friends who, I am sure, will be delighted to set next year's event.
